The word ‘thought’ is often mistaken as a passive noun. It merely disguises itself like an innocent docile pet and waits for opportunity to be unleashed. Many have been snared by so called innocent thoughts. However, thought cannot operate on its own. Another word must join to it before it becomes functional.
Here is a famous example:
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat, or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?”*
The thoughts are common. They just laze around in your mind. But once you take it, it controls you. You will be driven by food and drink and your five senses (flesh or carnal mind).
“It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”**
Naturally preconditioned thoughts give the false security of the world that can be detected by the five senses. But life has proved that there is no security in nature.
Jesus has proven that the supernatural is where reality is and we receive security from the God who is Spirit. God the Creator God is above and not limited by the natural realm.
God formed us and all things. He is the unlimited sources of all supplies we need.
Conclusion: take thought on Him. Not on stuff.
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”***
“(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have needs of all these things “****
****Matthew 6:32[ Meditate on These Things ] Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
